Scout Rock Climbing Merit Badge

Inclusions:

• 4 hours of instruction
• Shoes and harness for each scout
• Party room access

Skills covered:

• Basic climbing techniques
• Knot-tying: Figure-Eight Follow-Through, Barrel Knot, Double Overhand and Water Knot
• Belay skills
• Climbing communication

Optional: Rappelling can be added for an extra hour of time and $20 per scout.

Booking:

• Must book online between 2 weeks and 6 weeks in advance
• $100 non-refundable deposit due at booking
• Available times
  • Saturdays 4:00pm - 8:00pm
  • Sundays 3:00pm - 7:00pm

Requirements: 

• Scouts must be 8 years and older.
• The class minimum is 5 scouts with a class maximum of 15 scouts.

Price:

• $250 minimum
• $50 per each additional scout

• Cancellations are made in your UpTown Climbing Profile.
• Cancellations made at least 5 days in advance will receive a refund to the original payment method minus a $100 non refundable deposit. 
• Events may be rescheduled one (1) time only. Any subsequent rescheduling will result in forfeiture of the deposit, and a new reservation must be made through the Uptown Climbing online booking system.
• Events may be rescheduled not less than 5 days in advance without loss of deposit. The deposit will be applied to the updated booking.
• Cancellations within 4 days before the event are not eligible for refund.
• If a party is rescheduled less than 4 days in advance, UpTown will keep the deposit and a new deposit must be applied.
• There will be no refunds for No-Shows
